Underground Diamond Drillers and Helpers - Mine Raglan

Raglan Mine - Nunavik - Permanent and full-time position. 14/14 schedule, 11 hours per day. Day and night shift.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Diamond Driller, the Diamond Driller Helper - Underground will:

- Support the Driller in the performance of his/her duties;
- Place and classify drill core in drill core boxes in an orderly fashion;
- Cooperate in achieving Rouillier Drilling production objectives;
- Clean rigs at the drill rig;
- Assists in the maintenance of drilling equipment during the shift by following prescribed methods;
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental procedures and policies;
- Cement drill holes;
- All other related duties pertaining to the job.


Under the direction of the Foreman, the Underground Diamond Driller will:

- Operate the diamond drill to extract core samples from the ground;
- Supervise, train and supervise the assistant driller in the performance of his/her duties;
- Participate in the movement of the drill rig and transfer the rig from one drilling site to another;
- Clean and maintain drilling equipment and rigs;
- Cooperate in achieving Rouillier Drilling's production objectives;
- Cement drill holes;
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental procedures and policies;
- All other related tasks related to the job.

Required skills

Be resourceful.

Required training

Must have a Formation in Diamond Drilling or a Formation in Mineral Extraction (asset);
Knowledge of mechanics (asset).

Required experiences

Have a minimum of one (1) year of permafrost experience.

Specific requirements

Have a valid driver's license (mandatory);
Have a valid explosives permit (mandatory);
Have the mining modules (mandatory);
Be bilingual (asset).
